Wedding By The Sea In Sunny Donegal

Welcome to Kerri-Ann & Jack’s amazing and romantic Seaview wedding and the exquisite views of the Redcastle Hotel in Donegal.

It’s great being back at the Redcastle in Donegal. The Redcastle and it’s staff are always so welcoming and it is such a beautiful Irish wedding venue. Couples love this wedding location for it’s scenic views of the coastline and green forest areas. Couples also rave about how lovely the staff are!

Groom Preps In County Derry

Kerri-Ann & Jack’s photography coverage began at Jack’s family home in Ardmore. This is where Jack and his groomsmen got ready for the amazing day ahead. Alongside me was Charlie from Simba Star Media. It’s always great having Charlie at my weddings, we get on great and always get good weather when we are out together and today was no different. I was saying to Charlie after the boys prep photos that we couldn’t ask for nicer fellas. Jack and his friends were a great laugh.

Bridal Preps At The Redcastle Hotel Donegal

After some really super shots of Jack and the boys, it was off to sunny Donegal and the Redcastle Hotel to catch up with Kerri-Ann & her bridesmaids.

The girls, very much like the boys were is great spirit and excited for the day to unfold. I got some great shots of the girls before it was time for the first look with Kerri-Ann and her daddy. The reaction from Kerri-Ann’s daddy was class. A really nice and genuine moment which I’m sure the Kerri-Ann will treasure forever. Sometime you can script these parts of the day and it maybe it ends up in a kerfuffle, but I let things play out naturally and it ended up be a really good natural moment.

Romantic Civil Ceremony At The Redcastle Hotel

After the getting ready prep shots with the girls, it was off to the ceremony room at the Redcastle. Hats off to the guys who did the interior decorating. The room was looking fab. A really beautiful setting for the wedding.

When I arrived, the guests were quietly anticipating the entrance of the bridesmaids and Kerri-Ann. Jack meanwhile, was eagerly awaiting his bride. The atmosphere in the room was excited anticipation and everyone couldn’t wait to see Kerri-Ann.

The ceremony was officiated by Elizabeth Wilson. Every civil ceremony is different and Elizabeth did a great job. It was a beautiful ceremony with lots of ideas from the couple.

After the ceremony and handshakes, it was time for the bridal party photos.

Wedding With Incredible Sea Views In Donegal

Couples choosing the Redcastle Hotel have the chance to do their photography with the greens in the background or the water. Kerri-Ann & Jack went with having the greens for their bridal party photography. A great choice, especially with the weather being so good and sunny.

We did some fun shots of the groomsmen and bridesmaids with Jack and Kerri-Ann. These are not just your boring stand there and look at me, there was a bit of fun and everyone enjoyed this part of the portraits. We finished off with pictures of the happy couple. Kerri-Ann & Jack were so relaxed throughout the session, a really lovely couple to have in front my camera. I’d love to have kept them for longer but it was soon time to let them go and join in with the rest of the celebrating.

Wedding Venue Donegal

Next up, the speeches were brilliant. Lots of great stories and lots of smiles. As I’m there working, it’s hard not to listen in and hear some of the great stories being told. After the speeches, it was dinner. Kerri-Ann and Jack were so good to seat me with their guests.

This was a nice touch I’m thankful for their hospitality. With me being seated inside the ballroom, there was no chance I was going to miss the nest big part of the day.

Which of course was after the dinner celebrations and with the cutting of the cake. This is fast turning from a normal part of the evening to a part of the day the couple can make their own. Everyone does this differently and Kerri-Ann & Jack made this really fun.

Romantic Evening Photo Shoot In Donegal

In the evening, I stole the couple away for a little while to do some evening photos. A big shout out to Trafford for helping me with my light and Kerri-Ann’s bridesmaids and friends.

These turned out so nice! We got some super shots despite the wind trying to blow us away. We headed back inside for dancing and lots of fun on the dance floor.

The evening went off with a bang with a great fireworks display for everyone to enjoy. Kerri-Ann & Jack, thanks again for having me as your wedding photographer! Such a pleasure to spend your wedding day with you in the fab Redcastle Hotel.
